Instructional Coaching for Educators

Educator coaching is a collaborative, job-embedded professional learning partnership that supports teachers in continuously refining their practice through reflection, inquiry, observation, and intentional growth. Rather than evaluating performance or prescribing solutions, coaching creates a trusted space where educators can think deeply about their instructional decisions, experiment with new approaches, celebrate successes, and navigate challenges alongside an experienced thought partner.

❋ Job-embedded, ongoing support

At Rooted Learning, we believe the most meaningful professional learning happens within the authentic context of a teacher's daily work, not in isolated workshops or one-time trainings. Our coaching is individualized, strengths-based, and responsive to each educator's goals, experience, and students. Through classroom observations, collaborative planning, reflective conversations, demonstration lessons, co-teaching, and ongoing support, we help educators build confidence, strengthen instructional practice, and develop the professional habits that lead to sustained growth.

❋ Individual and team coaching

Individual coaching is typically centered on an instructional planning and practice cycle that includes classroom observations, reflective coaching conversations, goal-setting/planning, lesson refinement, and debriefing of lessons.

Team coaching focuses on alignment conversations, collaborative lesson design practices, assessment design, data reflection and ingraining positive team processes and practices for ongoing support and growth.

❋ Professional learning experiences

Our consulting partners are experienced educators and experienced adult-learning specialists. They can facilitate sessions and experiences tailored to the needs of each educator and team. Demonstration lessons, workshop facilitation, learning walks, mentoring, curriculum planning, Reggio-inspired documentation practices, and curriculum planning are available supports that we provide.

❋ Benefits of instructional coaching
